Human Potential Strategist Bio
Beth has led dozens of IT teams from 2 to 250 people in multiple cities. Her management titles have spanned from Supervisor to Vice President in several different companies with a variety of cultures. Her leadership positions taught her ways to inspire teams, as well as, leadership approaches that don’t work. This has provided Beth with applicable, practical knowledge that she generously shares with others that want to achieve their highest potential.
Beth attended numerous leadership classes at USWest throughout her career there. She was also certified as an internal USWest facilitator for a program customized for the company by teachers from the Leadership Institute of Seattle. The class, Team Leadership Training, was designed to teach team members to first acquire and practice personal communication skills in a four day session, followed by another three day session six weeks later that focused on their specific team dynamics that prohibited success for the project that they were all assigned to. This experience sparked an interest in Psychology that Beth expanded when she studied for her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at Regis University. She graduated magna cum laude in 2005. Her studies were focused on understanding more about how people think and how can they reach their goals, since she firmly believes that the only true successes are due to small groups of motivated people that believe they can accomplish the impossible.
In addition to the USWest classes she attended, she has sought out and attended leadership classes such as Influence, Bringing Spirit to Leadership, and Women’s Leadership Training: Influencing the Global Economy in Shanghai, China provided by the international organizations of Emergenetics International and FGI Spirit International. These classes not only provided a fantastic foundation for clearly identifying and applying her leadership skills, but also clarified her desire to support others in achieving their highest potential.
One of Beth’s favorite responsibilities as a leader at USWest, Qwest, TriZetto, and a few other companies focused on mentoring individuals including direct reports, peers and bosses. During this phase of her career, she formally and informally mentored well over a 150 people. She is more than willing to share what has worked for her in leadership efforts, as well as, what hasn’t worked and why it didn’t work. It was clear to her early in her career that she had benefitted greatly by the advice and guidance she received from well-meaning mentors along the way, and she was compelled to pass it on.
When Beth started WWC Ltd., it was with the intention that she would have more time to focus on leadership and coaching education and tools. She completed a certificate in Leadership from Regis University, and completed certifications in Emergenetics, EQi, and TESI assessments. She has completed over 300 personal reviews using these tools to guide people in meeting their personal goals through recognition of what makes them unique and perfect the way they are. She works with them to clarify their personal vision and develop strategies to make it happen. She recognizes each person is a unique individual. She has also used these tools as a foundation for team building events for teams in IT, education, and sales professions. Today Beth continues to offer individual and team guidance through WWC Ltd.
