The question about outsourcing may seem straight forward, yet it is not. Outsourcing can take place at a seemingly infinite number of levels from outsourcing OS patch level management or monitoring nightly backups to data center co-lo space to PaaS (Platform as a Service) environments for the development staff to corporate email outsourcing to full SaaS (Software as a Service) outsourcing of ERP functionality.
